Morgan Geer (Guitar)
In the year 2000, Bloodshot Records released Down to the Promised Land: 5 Years of Bloodshot Records. On it is a cover of Public Enemy’s "Bring
the Noise" by a Country Punk trio from Asheville, North Carolina. The Unholy Trio, featuring Morgan Geer, David Wayne Gay, and Lance Wille toured routinely through the eastern half of the U.S. in a ‘78 Cadillac hearse, landed a showcase at the SXSW festival, and achieved national recognition - all on the crooked spine of that mongrel 2 minutes and 40 second single.
The Morgan Geer-fronted band Drunken Prayer, featuring Miss Audra on keyboards, Keith Richard McCarthy on bass, Kevin Still on Drums, and David Lipkind on harp, released their self-titled debut album in 2006.
"There is a primal sorrow in this release that flows like a molten lava, occasionally erupting through the surface of this country-R&B gem. Based in Portland, OR Drunken Prayer join the baritone-molasses vocals of Morgan Geer with a horn-filled, honky-tonk honey-dripping that sounds emotionally raw, fresh and timeless. This is saint and sinner stuff full of passion and pain." - Jeff Weiss, Miles of Music
The versatile Morgan Geer also fronts the soul/Southern rock/psychedelic outfit The Merle and plays drums in the roots music Meredith Brothers Band.

The Merle was formed in an act of GREATER DESTINY, its members collectively dedicating their wretched lives to the public conjuration of the CLEANSING BEAST, developing a musical ritual in which they surrender their ego to the will of ROCK AND GOD DAMN ROLL, so that the true word may be spread to audiences everywhere. - Morgan Geer
